Jewish Organizing Fellowship alumna Daria Ovide was a leader of an outreach effort with multiple civic organizations to engage thousands of Latino voters who had never before voted in a city-wide election. After making tens of thousands of contacts by phone, by mail, and at voters’ doorsteps, the result was a turn-over in the Phoenix City Council. The agenda for the new majority?
